Fiprofort Plus Spot-On is a veterinary product containing fipronil and (S)-methoprene. Fipronil acts on chloride channels and their ligands, particularly the GABA neurotransmitter. It effectively eliminates fleas within 24 hours and ticks and lice within 48 hours of application. On the other hand, (S)-methoprene, similar to juvenile hormone, hinders the development of immature stages of insects, causing impaired development and death of immature flea stages. Additionally, (S)-methoprene prevents the development of flea larvae and pupae.
